How to Size a Bracelet or Necklace — Get the Perfect Fit Every Time
Share
Getting the right bracelet or necklace size makes all the difference. Too tight and it's uncomfortable. Too loose and it slides off. Here's exactly how to measure — and what to do if you're buying as a gift and don't know the size.
Bracelet Sizing Guide
Use a soft tape measure or a string and ruler. Wrap it snugly around your wrist — not tight, just flat against the skin.
Once you have your wrist measurement, add the right amount for your preferred fit:
- Normal fit (most common): wrist measurement + ¼ inch
- Loose fit: wrist measurement + ½ inch
Example: if your wrist measures 6.5 inches, order a 6¾ inch bracelet for a normal fit, or 7 inches for a looser feel.
Necklace Sizing Guide
For necklaces, wrap the string or tape around your neck where you want the necklace to sit. Then add ½ to 1 inch for comfort.
